Overview
The Immigration Coordinator provides primary assistance with individual projects, research, reporting, and general case management support to the Global immigration legal teams. The role involves assisting with the maintenance or improvement of Global practices, facilitating the dissemination of best practices, and providing support for case management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in the maintenance or improvement of Global practices, including protocols, practice guides, templates, training materials, etc.
- Increase knowledge in best practices, team protocols, software/tools, etc. required for team-wide daily tasks or casework.
- Facilitate dissemination of best practices, consular updates, new team initiatives, and other relevant information/practices within the Global program.
- Provide information and real-time updates to Global team based on interaction with local consulates, vendors, and network partners.
- Assist with any relevant support for case management at manager’s discretion, including back-end support to Global teams, case/project management (legalization/acquisition/tracking), etc.
- Avoid updating internal system records; provide audit support on internal records systems.
- Complete other related duties as assigned and support the firm.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Provide general back-office support to Global immigration teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 0-1 years’ experience in an office environment.
- Corporate Immigration experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- General office clerical skills (e.g. phones, typing, filing, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle heavy workloads.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command of the English language, written and oral.
- Excellent customer service.
- Positive and friendly attitude.
- Able to maintain a sedentary position for up to 90% of the work day.
- Able to type and to grasp, grip, push and pull file drawers and doors.
- Able to walk and climb stairs or use elevator to coordinate with other departments.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel and/or stand to access files and documents.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. of files and/or boxes.
