About the Role

Location: Atlanta, GA
Engagement: Gig / Contract / Appointment-Based
Start: Approximately 10 days from engagement
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

About the Opportunity

This role is designed for experienced immigration attorneys who enjoy representing clients in immigration court but prefer not to manage a full caseload. You will represent clients at scheduled Individual Calendar Hearings on an appointment-based contract basis, allowing flexibility to balance other professional commitments.

Assignments are scheduled in advance during standard court business hours. The firm handles preparation, logistics, and ongoing case management, enabling you to focus on advocacy and courtroom representation. Operational support, malpractice coverage, and attorney preparation are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as co-counsel on client matters, representing clients at Individual Calendar Hearings.
  • Appear in person for scheduled immigration court hearings.
  • Advocate professionally on behalf of clients and communicate case developments accurately.
  • Follow attorney preparation materials and firm instructions.
  • Report hearing outcomes using established firm templates.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. bar license (any jurisdiction).
  • 3–5 years of immigration or courtroom experience (USCIS or EOIR) required.
