Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in immigration court (EOIR), including removal proceedings and bond hearings.
  • Represent clients during USCIS interviews and other immigration-related proceedings.
  • Develop effective case strategies and prepare applications, motions, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct client consultations and maintain clear, timely communication throughout each matter.
  • Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met.
  • Conduct legal research and provide thorough legal analysis.
  • Collaboraborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Participate in community outreach, legal education workshops, and pro bono initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach to legal representation.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience.
  • Experience with removal defense or family-based immigration is strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, client-focused legal representation.
  • Spanish fluency is strongly required.
  • Experience with law review, immigration clinics, or trial advocacy is a plus.
