Immediate Need, In-Home CNA

About the role

BAYADA is seeking a CNA to provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to adults in their homes. This position involves supporting clients with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal preparation, medication reminders, and vital sign checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse
• Provide personal care, such as bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Offer household support, including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Engage in range of motion/exercises
• Ambulate clients using mechanical lifting devices
• Remind clients of medication schedules
• Check vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration)

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience
• Successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and certified as a CNA
• A passion for caregiving and providing private home care
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to travel to clients' homes as needed
