IMMEDIATE HIRING – PORTER / JANITORIAL POSITIONS

About the role

Join Lina Vivas Maintenance Inc. in Jamaica, NY, for an exciting opportunity as a Porter/Janitorial staff member! We are urgently hiring dedicated individuals to maintain cleanliness and ensure a welcoming environment for our clients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas including offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by management.
• Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to all clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent time management skills and reliability.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Compensation: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
