Imaging Technologist PRN

About the Role

As an Imaging (Radiology) Technologist at Mountain View Hospital, you will perform professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. This role allows latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. You will provide the patient with the proper procedure and excellent quality images to assist the physician in diagnosis. Responsibilities include performing a variety of imaging procedures in the radiology department, portable exams, and c-arm procedures throughout the hospital.

You will schedule, plan, implement, and complete requests for service while providing a friendly and compassionate environment in alignment with the hospital’s “Care Like Family” mission. You will also stay up-to-date on current techniques and procedures and possess knowledge of growth and development to understand the range of treatment needed for various patient groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including radiology department exams, portable exams, and c-arm procedures.
• Provide patients with proper procedures and high-quality images to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Schedule, plan, implement, and complete requests for imaging services.
• Create a friendly and compassionate environment for patients in line with the hospital’s mission.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current techniques and procedures in radiology.
• Understand growth and development needs to tailor treatment for different patient groups.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification as a Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer.
• Graduation from a vocational school program in radiologic technology.
