Imaging Technical Aide, CT Scan

Responsibilities

• Captures patient flow for imaging services.
• Aids a licensed technologist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures as directed by physicians.
• Responds to requests from physicians or technologists during imaging procedures using appropriate terminology and equipment.
• Positions patients, advances/pulls wires and catheters, and manipulates digital imaging equipment under supervision.
• Explains necessary information to patients and family members, such as consent forms and procedure explanations.
• Burns patient CDs and provides statistical data as needed to department leadership.
• Maintains sterile fields, instruments, and equipment used during imaging procedures.
• Serves as an inter-departmental communication resource.
• Assists with appointment reminders, pre/post instructions, and patient questions.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement, but may prefer candidates with a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• CPR certification is required.
