Job Summary

As an Imaging Student Extern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by working alongside experienced team members at Methodist Hospital Northeast. Your role involves preparing patients for imaging, safely transporting them, setting up imaging rooms, and serving as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team.

Qualifications

• 2 semesters completed within an Imaging program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No travel required

What You Will Need

Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients. Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures. Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly. Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards.
