Imaging Student Extern
Description
The Imaging Student Extern will screen, position, and image patients under the supervision of Radiology Technologists and Radiologists. Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, following protocol, and participating in educational activities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of first year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and currently enrolled in second year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pass ARRT (R) certification within six months of program completion.
- Must remain active in the role for up to eighteen months before seeking certification.
What The Imaging Student Extern Will Do
Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Helps identify and resolve problems. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Performs exams using proper techniques and documentation.
