Essential Responsibilities
- Provide on-site assistance to DTT/NIEHS or Contractor pathologists with identifying microscopic lesions in rodent tissue from DTT and DIR studies
- Capture digital images of lesions and other areas of interest in tissue sections mounted on glass slides for use in various technical reports, and scientific publications using state-of-the-art photomicroscopes
- Adjust digital images for inclusion in presentations, publications, posters, or other purposes using Government furnished image editing graphics software
- Support DTT and DIR programs to utilize new imaging sciences technologies including but not limited to: image analysis with AI (machine learning, deep learning, generative neural networks, and large language models) to develop methodologies which include algorithm development and associated methodologies for pathological diagnosis, research applications, data analysis, quantification, lesion severity scoring, and automated generation of text to summarize results
- Work in multidisciplinary teams
- Interact with clients, researchers, and technical staff

Education
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: PhD in Biomedical field
Experience ≥ 5 years’ experience in digital imaging and artificial intelligence

- Experience in technical aspects of digital imaging and artificial intelligence
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
