About the role
The Imaging Informatics Specialist acts as the first point of contact for all customers seeking technical support over phone, email, or chat for a variety of imaging systems (PACS), software, and hardware across the Healthsystem. Ensures smooth daily operations by troubleshooting issues, assisting with upgrades and testing, maintaining ticket system records, and updating the knowledge base.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for imaging systems (PACS), software, and hardware via phone, email, or chat.
- Troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with system upgrades and testing.
- Maintain ticket system records and knowledge base.
Requirements
- High School Diploma plus 1 year of vocational school.
- Two years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy (spreadsheets, word processing, database management, Microsoft Office).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or appropriate IT background preferred.
- In-depth understanding of Imaging PACS and related software systems, as well as general computer knowledge preferred.
- Preferred knowledge of and experience with Imaging PACS systems (SECTRA Radiology and Philips Cardiology) and related software/hardware, including but not limited to Powerscribe, Powershare, etc.
