About the role

The Imaging Assistant position at Wilcox Medical Center is a vital role within the Imaging Services department. This position supports the department in providing high-quality diagnostic technology and service to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and clinical support activities to the imaging program.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Handle patient registration and insurance verification.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and imaging reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other departments.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of hospital, clinic, doctor’s office, or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a nurse aide or medical assistant program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous experience in an Imaging Department.
• Data entry experience.

Pay

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.

Schedule

Rotating - 8 hours per shift.
