About the Role

We are searching for a talented Imaging Assistant II-MRI. This position is located at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA, with a schedule of 32 flexible hours (up to 40) on the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), including every other weekend and call/holiday rotation, with occasional day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care, including transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting patients on and off the imaging table.
  • Perform MRI screenings and research various implantable devices.
  • Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures.
  • Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules, and assist with retrieval of outside images.
  • Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
  • Assist with special projects such as Quality Assurance and Education.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; additional specialized courses or training preferred.
  • Computer skills required, including knowledge of hospital departmental computer systems.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office equipment; familiarity with patient care equipment.
  • CPR certification required within 6 months of hire (current certification within 3 months preferred).
  • One year of related work experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying exemption.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $16.29 - USD $27.54 per hour.

Schedule

  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with occasional day shifts.
  • Every other weekend with call/holiday rotation.
