Schedule Part Time, Evening Shift (26 hours Biweekly)
General Summary
Performs general, non-technical duties. Assists the technologist and physician in positioning, lifting, transferring and care of patients. Schedules patient exams and performs other clerical duties related to and in support of departmental operations. Assists with the care and maintenance of department equipment.
Responsibilities
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
- Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
- Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
- Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, patient folders.
- Maintains appropriate levels of necessary supplies.
- Affords assistance with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Collects soiled laundry/linens and delivers to pick up point.
- Orders, stocks and distributes clean laundry/linens.
- If enrolled as a student in the Radiological Technology School, performs patient care and other duties applicable to the specialty areas (e.g., CT, MRI and/or Mammography).
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Work Experience: Less than 1 year
- Relevant experience.
- Required if enrolled as a student in the Radiological Technology School: Completed 1 year of education requirements prior to entering the specialty areas (e.g., CT, MRI and Mammography).
