Imaging Assistant

About the Role

Provides direct patient care consistent with the established standard of practice, the goals of Mercy, and the Mercy Code of Conduct. Responsible for supplies, stocking, equipment cleaning, and patient care in Imaging Services as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Manage supplies, stocking, and equipment cleaning in Imaging Services.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Capability to lift, move, and transport patients.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Proficiency in basic computer use.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and adapt to stressful conditions.
• Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
