Imaging Assistant

About the Role

Provides direct patient care consistent with the established standard of practice, the goals of Mercy, and the Mercy Code of Conduct. Responsible for supplies, stocking, equipment cleaning, and patient care in Imaging Services as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care consistent with established standards
• Manage supplies, stocking, and equipment cleaning in Imaging Services
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire
• Capable of lifting, moving, and transporting patients
• Capable of continual standing and walking
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and adapt to stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in basic computer use

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
