About the Role
The Advanced Imaging Assistant supports and assists the Technologist as needed, following established policies and procedures within the Imaging environment. Responsible for performing a wide range of duties assigned by the Imaging department, with a focus on patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, including changing patients and reviewing patient safety questionnaires.
- Assist the modality Technologist in setting up scan rooms, placing patients on the table, and attaching necessary coils and/or head holders.
- Assist with starting IVs for patients receiving contrast injections.
- Assist in emergency situations such as contrast reactions and CPR.
- Verify patient lab values, document patient exam information, and create CDs for patients.
- Participate in patient final verification.
- Assist with supply ordering, stocking, and monitoring for expired products.
- Manage linen supply, stock blanket warmers, and dispose of soiled linen and carts.
- Clean scan rooms and holding rooms between patients.
- Assist with the transportation of patients to and from the scan room.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of patient care experience.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC (required upon hire).

Schedule
