About the role
EOSYS is seeking an Ignition Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work with small, multi-disciplinary teams to develop Ignition-based solutions for manufacturing clients. Projects range from standalone SCADA applications to full-scale MES/MOM applications across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities
- Configure and develop Ignition-based applications
- Develop applications using Ignition, Python, Jython, C#.NET, web technologies, and SQL
- Develop applications using Ignition Vision and Perspective
- Commissioning and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with PLC tag structures and communications
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical)
- 5+ years’ experience configuring and developing applications using Ignition
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and AI Development is a plus
- Experience with OPC UA and MQTT is a plus
- Experience with Ignition Edge, MES, and IIoT connectivity is a plus
- Experience with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of PLC tag structures and communications
- Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment

Pay

Schedule
- Hybrid work model based out of Middletown, OH office
- Regular, routine onsite presence for face-to-face collaboration, team meetings, and hands-on projects
- Partial remote work
- Up to 10% travel to client sites regionally and throughout the continental US
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Overnight travel is required
