IEP Case Manager/Special Education Teacher - Oxford
Summary Description
The Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager is a member of the IEP team and provides services to children ages 3-5 and ensures that services meet the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Educational Improvement Act (IDEA) of 2004 and Maine's Unified Special Education Regulations Chapter 101. This position will involve both classroom teaching and case management.
Representative Tasks
- Teaching preschool children in a preschool classroom
- Case managing the IEP process for each child assigned to the preschool classroom, which includes:
- Writing the annual and any amended IEPs
- Writing the Written Notice for each IEP meeting
- Collecting data for each child in the preschool classroom
- S supporting the supervision of Ed Techs in assigned classroom
Minimum Qualifications
- 282B (Teacher of Children with Disabilities - PRE-KIND) certification required
- Successful background, criminal records, and reference check

- Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems and special education methods
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Ability to provide individual and group services in a preschool setting
- Ability to establish an effective rapport/relationship with children and parents
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an early childhood team
- Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Ability to treat and motivate young children

About the Role
We are currently looking for qualified, dedicated IEP Case Manager/Special Education Teachers to help support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, to prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond!
Requirements
Full-time positions available at our CDS Moose Meadows Preschool in Oxford. These are 40 hour per week, calendar year positions.

Pay
Salary Range $53,539 - $92,768 per year
