Global Information Security (GIS) protects Bank of America’s information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. GIS develops the bank’s Information Security strategy and policy, manages the Information Security program, identifies and addresses vulnerabilities, and operates a global security operations center that monitors, detects, and responds to cybersecurity incidents.

Within GIS, Identity and Access Management (IAM) ensures the right individuals access the right resources at the right times and in the right context. IAM addresses the mission-critical need to ensure appropriate access across increasingly heterogeneous technology environments and to meet increasingly rigorous compliance requirements.

About the role

This IAM Security Administration position is an individual contributor responsible for daily granting of logical access with the highest quality of service for hundreds of proprietary applications on different technology models and platforms. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, business-focused, and an effective team player who excels at collaborating across multiple organizational units at various levels.

Responsibilities

  • Grant logical access for hundreds of proprietary applications on different technology models and platforms.
  • Navigate ambiguity and uncertainty in day-to-day responsibilities, leveraging creativity, collaboration, and team synergies to solve challenges and enable business operations in real time.
  • Exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
  • Lead complex technical projects, meeting target timelines, facilitating project meetings, authoring project documentation, resolving issues, and identifying project resources.
  • Design processes to improve overall efficiency, mitigate resource conflicts, and enhance customer/client experience.
  • Support access management processes with a risk-oriented perspective.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous experience in Information Technology, Information Security, or Identity and Access Management.
  • Detailed, bank-specific access administration knowledge in Windows, Midrange, and/or Mainframe Platforms with emphasis on security and access controls.
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization that includes technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking.
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates productively to get things done.
  • Demonstrable ability to self-direct project outcomes with minimal supervision to achieve program goals.
  • Strong leadership skills enabling collaboration with peers and various levels of management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).

Desired skills

  • Experience or relevant coursework with languages such as Python, PowerShell, Java, VBA, Angular, SQL/Toad, etc.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills, including experience in Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Python, Visio, etc.

Schedule

  • 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM).
  • 40 hours per week.
