About the Role
Identity is at the heart of modern enterprise security — and it's one of the most complex domains for AI to reason about correctly. We're looking for experienced IAM professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI systems by working through realistic identity and access scenarios.
Your expertise will directly shape how AI understands privilege escalation, access control failures, zero-trust design, and the subtle ways identity systems break in the real world. This is a rare opportunity to apply deep security knowledge to frontier AI development — on your own schedule, fully remote.
What You'll Do
- Analyze IAM, SSO, and access control scenarios to identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and exploitable paths
- Classify permission issues, privilege escalation risks, and identity-related failures with structured reasoning
- Review zero-trust models and access design decisions for correctness and best practices
- Generate and validate realistic identity security data used to train and evaluate AI systems
- Provide clear, expert-level explanations that help AI learn how IAM risk actually emerges and propagates
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms
- Solid understanding of RBAC, least-privilege principles, and access review processes
- Familiar with how identity failures occur and how attackers exploit them in real environments
- Able to think through complex access scenarios methodically and communicate findings clearly
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with platforms like Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity, or SailPoint
- Familiarity with cloud IAM (AWS IAM, GCP IAM, Azure RBAC)
- Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or security consulting
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks like SOC 2, NIST, or ISO 27001
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems with the world's leading AI research teams
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and as much as you choose
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community
- Put your deep security knowledge to work in a high-impact, intellectually engaging way
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
