Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee Person-Centered Behavior Support Plans for a specified caseload, developed in conjunction with Functional Behavioral Assessments.
  • Maintain all behavioral data related to individuals on assigned caseload.
  • Participate in service planning meetings involving individuals on assigned caseload, across settings.
  • Act as liaison between day and residential programming to ensure consistency in behavioral planning and goal alignment.
  • Model and provide behavioral interventions.
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic support to individuals on assigned caseload.
  • Maintain regular communication with and coordinate services with all service providers.
  • Attend staff and treatment team meetings and train staff on the clinical needs of individuals on assigned caseload.
  • Conduct necessary psychological evaluations and other assessments as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring that functional behavioral assessments, person-centered behavior support plans, and other required documentation meet OPWDD standards.
  • Complete monthly notes on individual’s behavioral progress.
  • Participate in appropriate committee meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected information according to HIPAA standards.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by assuming an expected role on the team and maintaining collaborative relations with other members.
  • Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • BCBA or Master’s Degree with OPWDD experience preferred; Bachelor's degree with ample OPWDD experience considered.
  • Experience working with individuals with varying degrees of intellectual/developmental disabilities a must.
  • Excellent organizational/communication/writing skills.

Work Environment

  • Full-time position, with one remote day optional.
  • Monday-Friday, some flexibility of scheduled hours.
  • Travel (if Required): Yes, this position requires the BIS to travel to varying residences (IRAs) in order to fulfill job responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel from site to site.
