IDCS Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test operating systems and application software for customer orders
• Collaborate with IT and security departments to set up customer VPNs and infrastructure
• Maintain and monitor customer-owned equipment in a secure environment
• Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate processes and enhance system efficiency
• Participate in designing information and operational support systems
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and IT personnel during projects
• Stay updated on industry changes and maintain professional and technical skills
• Support the management of large-scale deployment networks
• Ensure effective communication and resolution of issues throughout project lifecycles

Requirements

• The ability to write, debug, and maintain code in various scripting and programming languages such as Microsoft Powershell and Python to automate tasks and develop software solutions - Intermediate
• The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently. - Intermediate
• The ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex problems to stakeholders across various functions and levels. - Intermediate
• Expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting BIOS firmware and device drivers to ensure system functionality and performance. - Intermediate
• Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based operating systems preferred - Intermediate

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree, trade school, or relevant work experience required
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs

Skills

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
