ICU Technician - Bone Marrow Transplant – FT – Nights

About the role
As an ICU Technician in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care at the bedside for patients and families. Your role includes phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing, while collaborating with nurses and nursing attendants to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. This is a full-time night shift position (11:00 PM – 7:15 AM) at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide comfort, calm, and compassion to patients and families at the bedside.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing.
- Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to uphold clinical excellence.
- Serve as the eyes and ears of the nursing team, ensuring patient needs are met.
- Balance patient care with clinical practices, taking initiative in high-pressure situations.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of current Nursing Attendant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Successful completion of a Nursing Attendant skills inventory.
- Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.

Pay
Salary range: $29.93–$32.07 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM.
