Schedule
Full time, day shift
Responsibilities
- Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all scheduled and add-on cases.
- Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and employee counseling.
- Provides required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner.
- Utilizes time effectively and accomplishes duties within required timeframes with minimal supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
- Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
- Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
- Monitors staff compliance with customer service behaviors and reinforces hospital goals for service management.
- Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
- Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policies for admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Assists the Nurse Leader or designee with updates and maintenance of unit records, reports, and forms.
Requirements
- Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of productivity tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing [Preferred]
- 1+ year of experience as an RN in critical care or a relevant specialty area [Preferred]
- 1+ year of leadership experience [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification [Required]
Pay
$32.76 - $57.47 per hour
