About the role
A dedicated ICU nurse is needed to join a specialized cardiovascular unit, providing high-quality care to post-op open-heart surgery patients and collaborating on national clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to post-op open-heart surgery patients
- Collaborate on national clinical trials
- Assist with procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
- Adhere to patient safety standards and maintain compliance with facility policies
- Utilize clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patients with various cardiac conditions
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- At least 1 year of ICU experience
- EKG skills
- Active Michigan RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Completed skills checklist within the past year
- Willingness to float to similar units
