ICU RN - Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated ICU nurse to join our specialized cardiovascular unit, known for its reputation for excellence. This role involves providing high-quality care to post-op open heart surgery patients, collaborating on national clinical trials, and working with advanced procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the cardiovascular unit, particularly post-op open heart surgery patients.
• Collaborate on national clinical trials and assist with advanced cardiac procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to established nursing standards and protocols.
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care demands.
• Maintain compliance with attendance and safety protocols.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU experience.
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation.
• Active Michigan RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Skills checklist completed within the past year.
• Flexibility to float to similar units as required.
