ICU Registered Nurse - PRN

Role Overview

This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse responsible for delivering direct patient care in a 12-bed medical/surgical ICU unit. Key duties include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to standards, with an emphasis on patient safety and family-centered care. The RN educates patients and families on managing their conditions, post-treatment needs, and medications. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and proactive communication of care plans are essential. The role requires critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors. It is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree (RN license required)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience
• Experience: Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education abilities
