About the role
Provides direct patient care in an ICU setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care within nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient- and family‑centered care.
- Educates patients and families on illness management.
- Participates in safety and quality activities.
- Develops and communicates individualized care plans.
- Evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
Qualifications
- Current RN license.
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- No prior ICU experience necessary; 1–2 years of Med/Surg experience is advantageous.
- Critical nursing skills and the ability to work safely and alertly.
Work Environment
Small 6‑bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, supporting acute cardiac patients. The unit offers consistent teamwork and support, including on‑site house supervision and provider availability.
