ICU Nurse

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications
• Change dressings, clean wounds
• Maintain and monitor equipment
• Communicate patient needs to multidisciplinary team
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs
• Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Document patient care activities
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• RN licensure by KY Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state
• Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• BLS required, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment
• Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area
• At least one-year clinical nursing preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in ICU setting preferred

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.
