About the role

Saint Peter’s is among the few hospitals in the world to have earned its 7th consecutive Magnet® designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation. The ICU Clinical Coordinator RN will provide coordination of resources and activities, interact with all hospital departments to initiate and maintain optimum patient care for adults and geriatrics, and actively promote customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

You will ensure all procedures are performed based on established standards, demonstrate competency within scope of practice, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities. Additional responsibilities include reporting significant changes in unit condition, orienting new employees, assisting in staff development, and maintaining knowledge of Nursing Quality Improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resources and activities to ensure optimal patient care for adults and geriatrics.
  • Interact with all hospital departments to maintain high standards of care.
  • Promote customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
  • Perform procedures in accordance with NJ Board of Nursing, ANA Code of Ethics, and institutional policies.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
  • Report significant changes in unit condition, incidents, or personnel problems.
  • Orient new, float, or agency employees to the unit.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in staff growth and development initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of Nursing Quality Improvement activities on assigned shift.
  • Perform other essential functions as directed by the manager.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association approved).
  • ACLS certification (obtained during clinical orientation).
  • ECG course (completed during clinical orientation).
  • Critical Care course (within 6 months of hire).

Pay

Salary Range: $50.30 - $80.48 USD per hour. Competitive base rates are determined by job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Eligible positions may receive clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The range reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
