ICU Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine | Department: Intensive Care Unit

About the Role

Travel ICU Charge Nurse overseeing ICU operations, nursing staff, and patient care during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during shifts
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments
• Mentor and support staff performance and development
• Handle performance management and HR activities
• Monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness
• Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Address patient care concerns and escalate issues appropriately
• Conduct patient and family rounds to promote a positive experience
• Provide direct patient care as needed to ensure safety and quality
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Requirements

• Valid RN license in the state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (maintained upon hire)
• At least one year of acute care hospital or ED nursing experience
• Previous supervisory experience (1-2 years) in ICU or acute care setting

Pay

Up to $1,491–$2,067 gross weekly ($41.44–$57.43 hourly), with a $3/hour differential.

Schedule

Days and Nights shifts available.
