ICT Senior Consultant

Our Information and Communication Technology Group (ICT) in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Technology Systems Consultant (AV) with systems design experience focused on Audio Visual. This role supports the engineering of systems for diverse projects, collaborating with clients, architects, and MEP engineers to design spaces such as Critical Facilities, Corporate Interiors, Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare Facilities, Airports, and educational facilities. We prioritize candidates with ICT experience in Aviation.
Responsibilities
- Support design efforts on a wide range of projects, progressing from basic to complex assignments while working with a technical team.
- Provide trade-specific system design layout using CAD/BIM, calculations, and coordination with other trades under senior staff guidance.
- Develop specifications, system narratives, and layouts for projects of varying sizes.
- Conduct field inspections to assess existing conditions and assist in preparing due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and technical reports.
- Establish system application, design, and operational parameters under senior team direction.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of network connectivity (LAN, WAN), WiFi infrastructure, WAPs, and controllers.
- Participate in and oversee the QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
- Assist in determining project scheduling, manpower requirements, and budgets.
- Perform construction administration and field investigations, including inspections and detailed reports.
- Assist senior team members with RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
- Adhere to drawing organization formats and company standards.
- Support multidisciplinary designs and assist in producing drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Represent Syska Hennessy Group in interactions with internal teams, clients, and external consultants (owners, builders, developers, architects, vendors, etc.).
- Coordinate with other disciplines and work closely with the entire design team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Science, or a Technical discipline (or equivalent relevant work experience).
- 8+ years of audiovisual experience in markets such as critical facilities (data centers, call centers, trading floors), healthcare, aviation, sports and entertainment, corporate interiors, and educational facilities.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of active network systems and structured cabling design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
- Certification such as P.E., ICT certification (PSP, CPP, CTS, CTS-D, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PMP, etc.) required.

Schedule
Flexible work schedule: Monday to Thursday in the office for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours remotely at home.
Pay
New York Pay Range: $106,013–$159,020 USD. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience, skillsets, and competencies, and may vary based on location.
