ICT/Security BIM Design Coordinator

About the role

We will count on you to:

• Work for a specific discipline, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
• Affiliate with the development of the discipline model, with direction from the Digital Design, Architectural, or Engineering staff
• Be accountable for assisting with the creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline
• Accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software
• Create detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design using the current 3D software
• Preserve the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets
• Generate discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output

Requirements

• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm highly desirable
• General engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (communications, electronic controls, CCTV, access control, UPS, etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware
• Preference given to local candidates
• Techically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
