About the role
Join Syska Hennessy Group, a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services specializing in MEP, information and communication technology (ICT), architectural lighting, vertical transportation, and commissioning. This opportunity is for an Electrical Engineer to work with our Information Communication Technology (ICT) Group in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Create basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or designers, and perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
- Coordinate with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering, both internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
- Support the design and engineering efforts for new installations, system retrofits, replacements, and upgrades across diverse project types.
- Learn and apply drawing organization and company standards.
- Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
- Assist engineers with field investigations, construction site visits, and project coordination meetings.
- Attend continuing education seminars through our Engineering Development Program on technical and professional development topics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience required.
- Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.
- Enjoys a team environment but is flexible enough to work independently when needed.
- Eager to learn and expand knowledge through challenging work and technical resources.

Pay
New York Pay Range: $96,376–$139,564 USD.
