Ice Resurfacer Driver | Part-Time | PeoplesBank Arena

Responsibilities

• Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
• Responsible for ice resurfacing, ice edging and overall ice quality
• Perform various general maintenance functions for equipment, including blade changes, exercising adequate judgment to ensure completion of tasks as assigned
• Aid in maintaining, cleaning and safety checking all machines, and areas surrounding as needed
• Maintain refrigeration equipment, keep necessary records and logbooks on equipment, and inform the Ice Operations Manager if systems or equipment is malfunctioning
• Assist in cleaning up ice before and after events and set up the game day ice crew area
• Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
• Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
• Work independently and in a team environment
• All other tasks assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience operating ice resurfacing equipment and ice rink setting preferred
• Comfortable in front of large crowds
• Comfortable operating Resurfacer with intermission rider
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience with ice edger and forklift equipment preferred
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects on a frequent basis
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with ice maintenance tasks
