About the role

The Ice Crew members are part of a professional, high-energy team responsible for maintaining the ice surface before, during, and after events. Candidates should have strong skating skills and an interest in hockey and ice maintenance operation. This role pays an hourly rate of $18.11-$19.73 (per CBA).

Responsibilities

  • Aid in quick changes, including the construction/deconstruction of the penalty and player boxes.
  • Change out broken hockey glass during games.
  • Skate and remove snow during media timeouts.
  • Work safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ice rink setting preferred.
  • Comfortable in front of large crowds.
  • Proficient ice-skating.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
  • Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects on a frequent basis.
