Ice Arena Technician

Start Date & Work Schedule

A.S.A.P. 10–30 hours per week; must be available primarily evenings and weekends, with some day shifts. No overtime.

Examples of Duties

• Ice resurfacing
• Opening and closing the building
• Lifting 25–50 pounds
• Light building maintenance
• Minor custodial responsibilities
• Measure ice and edge rinks to maintain proper ice depths on all surfaces
• Maintaining accurate ice depths for quality control
• Edging and manual board edge maintenance rinks daily
• Knowledge of ice resurfacing machines and components of their general operation

Typical Qualifications

Certified Ice Technician preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
