Ice Arena Specialist

The campus is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, about 20 miles north of downtown Detroit.
About the role
The Ice Arena Specialist is responsible for regular resurfacing of the ice and daily maintenance and cleaning of the ice arena including locker rooms, rest rooms, bleachers, and arena glass. This position also handles customer service, crowd control, light mechanical repairs, and periodic collection of contract payments.
Responsibilities
- Resurface and maintain ice
- Maintain Zamboni machine
- Clean locker rooms and restrooms
- Sweep and mop bleachers
- Clean windows and arena glass
- Remove trash from all areas of arena
- Sweep bench area and penalty box
- Clean parking lot
- Hook up scoreboard and monitor access to P.A. system
- Customer service and locker room assignments
- Crowd control
- Light mechanical repairs
- Periodic collection of contract payments
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to learn Zamboni operation required; ice arena experience preferred
- Valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate with ice arena patrons
Pay
$20.76 per hour
Schedule
Part-time, less than 20 hours per week. Shift days and times vary.
