ICC Special Inspector

About the role

The role involves conducting inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. It includes reviewing plans, inspecting structures, and issuing permits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure adherence to local building codes and safety regulations.
• Review architectural and engineering plans to identify potential issues before construction begins.
• Issue permits and resolve conflicts between contractors and clients regarding project specifications.
• Document findings and prepare reports for review by superiors and clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and resolve disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction inspection or related field.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
