Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in industrial settings.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using testing devices.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to address electrical issues.
  • Install and connect wiring, outlets, and switches following electrical codes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in electrical work.
  • Train and mentor junior electrical maintenance staff.
  • Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and repairs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of and the ability to read and write programmable logic code for PLCs.
  • Knowledge of device, wiring sizing, and fill capacity per NEC.
  • Knowledge of machine vision systems, including the ability to program code-reading systems and assist with training new vision techs.
  • Knowledge of servo drives, including the ability to commission, program, and diagnose motion systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and use information from drawings, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to determine appropriate activities, tools, and next steps in the production process.
  • Ability to use multiple software systems that communicate with equipment.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, including components, repair processes, and installation procedures.
  • Ability to identify equipment maintenance needs by using PM Work Orders and communicate these needs to the appropriate people.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, connections, and interdependencies, including basic machine operations, gears, and drive shafts.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices such as micrometers, measuring tools, gauges, indicators, and calibration stickers.
  • Basic knowledge and development of plant production processes and layouts, which includes cross-departmental coordination, communication, and planning within our area of responsibility.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, repair, clean, and store power tools and equipment (e.g., chop-saw, hand drills).
  • Ability to move, carry, or manipulate objects quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to coordinate one's eyes with one's hands, wrists, or arms to perform tasks.
  • Ability to see details clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to present information to various people as the job requires.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a related field and/or 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Very high reasoning skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to set and achieve challenging goals.
  • Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hiring rate: $27.27-$30.68 hourly plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
  • Bonuses: Eligible for an annual performance bonus.
  • Benefits: Includes paid time off, health insurance coverage (including dental and vision), a flexible spending account, and a 401(k) plan.
