About the role

The IC/QC & Distribution Coordinator I - Weekend Shift is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the Tissue Bank. Ensures that Inventory Control Operations comply with state and federal regulations and AATB Standards. Promotes Lean behaviors across the organization (including participating in try storms, brainstorming, and Lean-related initiatives).

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the Inventory Control Area as specified in SOPs.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of post-processing, quarantine products (frozen and room temperature).
  • Performs disposition of non-conforming products as directed.
  • Completes data entry and paperwork for tissue samples.
  • Knowledge of information contained in the Tissue Bank Manuals.
  • Must be able to perform duties under supervision.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to storage, handling, labeling, and inspections of tissue.
  • Stages tissue for sterilization and receives tissue from sterilization/irradiation.
  • Schedules, sends, and receives tissue for sterilization/irradiation while monitoring freezers and acknowledging alarms in Tutela System.
  • Creates daily reports to control inventory area and report any discrepancies.
  • Collaborates with operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Reconciles tissue inventory and transfers released products for distribution.
  • Discards donors/tissue as instructed per SOP/WIs.
  • Ensures proper documentation for all tissue inventory transfers.
  • Maintains housekeeping practices for work areas.
  • Selects and retrieves finished goods (ambient temperature and frozen) from the distribution area and/or -80°C freezers to fulfill customer orders.
  • Prepares customer packages for courier pick-ups.
  • Processes all internal shipping requests.
  • Performs final inspection of products for proper specifications, label accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and Vivex Biologics, Inc. quality requirements.
  • Combines components for final products.
  • Applies labels to final product and adds package inserts, boxes, etc.
  • Maintains monitoring of freezers and responds to alarms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School/Minimum of 4 Years of Relevant Experience.
  • Associate/Minimum of 1 Years of Relevant Experience.
  • Bachelor's/Minimum of 0-1 Years of Relevant Experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Written, verbal, and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Can multitask effectively.

Qualifications

  • The ability to lift boxes up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs.
  • The ability to use hand trucks and pallet jacks both manually and automatically.

Physical requirements

  • The ability to stand and walk throughout the facility.
  • Occasional warehouse work if needed.

Resourceful in completing deadlines and can multitask effectively.
