IBOR Business Systems Analyst - Investment Management Technology

About the role

The IBOR Business Systems Analyst – Investment Management Technology plays a crucial role in the implementation and support of IBOR and Quantitative Risk related applications and functions, including Asset Liability Management. They act as a subject matter expert, leading complex projects and ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise for implementation and support of IBOR and Quantitative Risk related applications and functions including Asset Liability Management.
• Formulate and define business and/or systems scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
• Devise or modify procedures to solve highly complex problems, considering limitations, operating time, and desired results.
• Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper business and/or system requirements.
• Identify and understand critical business features driving value and translate those into solid technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively using verbal and written methods to all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with project/program managers, architects, developers, and testers to optimize the quality of the developed product.
• Work closely with internal business partners, internal IT teams, and offshore partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Estimate time to complete design and development tasks and influence design and architecture inclusive of technical (non-functional) requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of business processes and functional requirements and translate them into succinct functional/technical specifications.
• Write ETL requirements and provide close oversight of specifications.
• Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines in the execution of job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years of experience with designing and implementing complex solutions
• 5+ years of investment data experience with an understanding of systems and data management
• 5+ years of experience with investment management systems (front office to middle office, to back office)
• 5+ years of data analysis experience working with large data sets and multiple sources of data

Qualifications

• Expert user of Excel and proficient with SQL/Oracle query tools
• Experience in BlackRock Aladdin Studio or Risk is a plus
• Ability to apply technical and business knowledge across multiple business functions
• Strong knowledge of the investment management industry, asset liability management, and risk management across multiple asset classes, public and private, including derivatives

Pay

$124,800 - $163,800 annually

Schedule

Hybrid schedule, with at least three days per week in the office and remote Fridays, company-wide remote weeks, and a bank of flexible remote weeks to use throughout the year.
