IBM Workload Scheduler Administrator

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) in a z/OS mainframe environment. They will also manage workload automation tasks, troubleshoot batch processing issues, and provide production support.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
• Manage workload automation tasks including calendars, dependencies, critical paths, and event-driven scheduling
• Provide production support for batch processing systems
• Identify and resolve batch processing failures

Requirements

• 84 months Experience using administering IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) in a z/OS mainframe environment
• 84 months Experience using and administering IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) for workload administration and monitoring
• 60 Months Experience Knowledge of IBM z/OS operations, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and batch processing concepts
• 60 Months Experience troubleshooting batch processing failures and performing production support

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Skills

• Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler)
• Experience with IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
• Knowledge of IBM z/OS operations, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and batch processing concepts
• Experience with workload automation concepts including calendars, dependencies, critical paths, and event-driven scheduling
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
