About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) in a z/OS mainframe environment. They will also manage workload automation tasks, troubleshoot batch processing issues, and provide production support.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
- Manage workload automation tasks including calendars, dependencies, critical paths, and event-driven scheduling
- Provide production support for batch processing systems
- Identify and resolve batch processing failures
Requirements
- 84 months Experience using administering IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler) in a z/OS mainframe environment
- 84 months Experience using and administering IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) for workload administration and monitoring
- 60 Months Experience Knowledge of IBM z/OS operations, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and batch processing concepts
- 60 Months Experience troubleshooting batch processing failures and performing production support
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Skills
- Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/Tivoli Workload Scheduler)
- Experience with IBM Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
- Knowledge of IBM z/OS operations, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and batch processing concepts
- Experience with workload automation concepts including calendars, dependencies, critical paths, and event-driven scheduling
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
