LanguageLine Solutions is hiring an Ibanag-English phone interpreter to work remotely from home. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $0.75 - $0.90 per minute and includes advancement opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate translations of conversations between Ibanag and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and neutrality during interpreting sessions.
• Communicate effectively with limited-English speakers, ensuring client expectations are met.
• Provide cultural sensitivity and handle sensitive topics like end-of-life conversations.

Requirements

• Fluency in Ibanag and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused during interpreting sessions.
• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Access to a dedicated personal device and reliable internet connection.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse.
• Ability to lift up to 26 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education or work experience in language-related fields.
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
• Read and write English and Ibanag.
