About the role

The I&S New Energy Well Engineering CoE Leader functions as the technical authority for all I&S New Energy Well Engineering scope. This role leads a team responsible for developing technical standards and best practices related to New Energy well design, planning, and operations. The team provides support to global operations teams to ensure standards and best practices are communicated and implemented on I&S projects. The CoE Leader fosters collaboration with all OFSE segments within integrated workflows that consider commercial, design, planning, and operational activities. Additionally, the role leads a group of experienced well engineers supporting projects with well designs, planning, and operational engineering for CCUS, Geothermal, Lithium extraction, or Hydrogen sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards, processes, and best practices for all I&S New Energy Well Design, Planning, and Execution scopes.
• Build a central team of new energy well engineers to support the implementation of best practices within global projects.
• Collaborate with OFSE product lines to provide best-in-class integrated solutions for all I&S Well Intervention projects (CWI, WL, DCF, S&SPS, AL, PE).
• Participate in industry groups to understand New Energy technology and industry trends.
• Identify 3PV scopes for engineering and technology and collaborate with the supply chain group to establish strategy.
• Build robust multi-disciplinary workflows for well design, planning, and operational phases of well delivery.
• Support the development of training and competency programs for I&S New Energy well engineers.
• Ensure technical solutions are in place for global projects: Onshore & Offshore Shallow-water.
• Lead peer reviews and technical audits of global projects.
• Provide technical support to global I&S New Energy projects.
• Support global teams in instituting digital solution packages for New Energy Well Design.
• Collaborate with the I&S Wells Performance Lead on establishing New Energy Project KPIs and Dashboards.
• Support I&S OFSE digital application development projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Energy, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or relevant industry experience.
• 15+ years of relevant oil & gas well engineering experience, with proven comprehensive well design and operations expertise.
• 5+ years of Geothermal well design experience, with preference for proven experience in high-temperature environments of 250°C or greater.
• 3+ years of Geothermal Project development and Operations experience (preferred).
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Operational and engineering experience with a proven ability in writing detailed operational procedures and conducting detailed simulations, including casing design.

Pay

The annual pay scale for this position is between $160,940.00 and $298,800.00. The final salary will depend on factors such as geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time.

Schedule

This role generally follows standard office hours (8 AM - 5 PM).
