Troubleshooting and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
- Perform and support preventive maintenance (PM) procedures on electrical and control systems.
- Serve as a technical resource for training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supervision and Training
- Supervise, train, and develop sanitation employees, fostering a skilled and engaged team.
- Aid in the design, installation, and implementation of new control systems and upgrades.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Show strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Have experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Understand electrical control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Teamwork and Communication
- Work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Communicate effectively for training and cross-functional collaboration.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify equipment weaknesses related to electrical systems and recommend effective solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education and Certifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Any and all other electrical certifications, such as technical college and/or manufacturing certifications (e.g., Allen Bradley, Square D).
- Industrial electrical experience required; prefer 2–4 years of documented experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Extensive schematic reading capability and PLC coding/troubleshooting experience.
