I&E Technician

Troubleshooting and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
• Perform and support preventive maintenance (PM) procedures on electrical and control systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supervision and Training

• Supervise, train, and develop sanitation employees, fostering a skilled and engaged team.
• Aid in the design, installation, and implementation of new control systems and upgrades.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Show strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Have experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Understand electrical control systems, instrumentation, and automation.

Teamwork and Communication

• Work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Communicate effectively for training and cross-functional collaboration.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify equipment weaknesses related to electrical systems and recommend effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Certifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Any and all other electrical certifications, such as technical college and/or manufacturing certifications (e.g., Allen Bradley, Square D).
• Industrial electrical experience required; prefer 2–4 years of documented experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Extensive schematic reading capability and PLC coding/troubleshooting experience.
