About the role

This position is for an Instrumentation/ Electrical Tech based at the Linde CO2 Plant in Claremore, OK. The overall objective of the Instrumentation/ Electrical Tech is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of production facilities. The Electrical/ Instrumentation Tech is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and operation of instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains operating and maintenance history for all equipment as required.
  • Prepares and Maintains documentation such as EAM/ ProCal work orders, service reports and equipment calibration records as required by Linde standards.
  • Performs work safely in accordance with Linde’s policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting, Calibration, and Maintenance of analog and digital process control instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot/ Repair Predictive Program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS as required by site specific documentation.
  • Troubleshoot systems using Schematic Wiring Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Control Logic diagrams as they relate to process control.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repair of electrical systems (600VAC and below).
  • Schedule and perform activities related to operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, instrumentation, control valves, motor control systems, low voltage electrical distribution, computer interfaces, and analytical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of automatic control valves and controllers.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure spare parts are available and are replaced when used.
  • Will be required to climb ladders, stairways, and operate man-lifts in order to perform maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
  • Instruct contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintain constant surveillance to ensure compliance at all times.
  • Will be required to operate plant systems to include startup, shutdown, and adjustment of plant process.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safe and reliable operation of production facilities.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associates Degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent apprenticeship program preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in process control instrumentation or related field.
  • Proficiency in use of Instrumentation/ Electrical tools and calibration equipment.
  • Working Knowledge of electricity fundamentals, electrical systems and motors.
  • Ability to read and interpret Schematic Wiring Diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Strong Organizational and Planning Skills.
  • Strong Computer Skills.
  • Strong Written and Verbal communication skills.
