You will enjoy doing
- Perform calibration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, control systems, plant automation equipment, and low-voltage electrical systems (600 VAC and below)
- Diagnose and resolve instrumentation and electrical issues using P&IDs, loop drawings, control logic diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Maintain and troubleshoot motor control systems, pneumatic controls, control valves, process analyzers, and atmospheric monitoring equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations
- Calibrate, maintain, and repair analytical equipment, including Gas Chromatographs, Thermal Conductivity Analyzers, Electrolytic Analyzers, and Mass Spectrometers
- Utilize analytical skills, instrument trends, alarm logs, diagnostic data, and root cause analysis (RCA) techniques to identify failures and improve equipment reliability
- Manage calibration gas standards, analyzer selector manifolds, SOP compliance, and analyzer performance validation to ensure measurement accuracy
- Support plant startup, shutdown, turnaround, and commissioning activities while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Maintain equipment histories, calibration records, CMMS/EAM work orders, service reports, and predictive maintenance documentation
- Review and update P&IDs, track spare parts inventory, and coordinate replenishment activities to support maintenance operations
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and contractors to execute maintenance projects while ensuring adherence to site safety procedures
What Makes You Great
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required
- More than five (5+) years of related experience in process control instrumentation
- Proficient with a variety of instrumentation and electrical (I/E) hand tools, meters, and instrument calibration equipment
- Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
- Strong organizational and planning skills are required
- Strong computer skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Associate of Applied Science degree or equivalent apprenticeship is preferred
