Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment upon failure
• Service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, align, and maintain instrument and electrical systems, components, motor control circuits, power supplies, and PLCs
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electronics using electronic test equipment (VOM, O-Scope, Megger, Calibrators, etc.)
• Apply electrical codes and standards
• Read and interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC and/or DCS hardware, software, and controls
• Diagnose and repair AC and DC motors and control circuits
• Maintain 480/240 Volt 3-phase MCC and power distribution systems
• Replace electrical control devices (limit, proximity, photo switches, pneumatic and hydraulic valves, etc.)
• Repair instrumentation and control devices (pressure, flow, level, temperature, etc.)
• Perform standard electrical installations including bending conduit and pulling wire
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Move and set up equipment as needed
• Wire equipment and electrical drops within a high-voltage area
• Install and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic industrial equipment
• Operate aerial work platforms
• Work safely, efficiently, and reliably in accordance with company policies, procedures, and established work practices

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology, industrial maintenance, or similar certification
• Five years of industrial Instrumentation-Electrical Maintenance experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings and schematics
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs and CNCs
• Demonstrated knowledge of 480 Volt MCC and power distribution systems
• Basic programming knowledge with the ability to understand code and troubleshooting
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics desired
• Mechanical background including troubleshooting skills desired
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with diverse cross-functional groups
• Proven organizational skills and ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
• Proficient computer skills to effectively use requisite software applications
• Able to operate various types of equipment including hand, power, diagnostic, and machine tools

Physical Demands

• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Requires frequent reaching, twisting, walking, stretching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stooping movements
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and around heated equipment
• Ability to wear and work in required personal protective equipment
• Participation in the Plant Emergency Response Team is a condition of employment

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00 to $45.00. We offer periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.
